Will you perform same gender marriages?


McKillop United Church is an Affirming Ministry.

We welcome same gender couples to our congregation, and

are pleased to perform same gender marriages.

Do I (or my partner) need to be a member of McKillop?

No. Membership with McKillop is not required.

Do you offer Marriage Preparation classes?

Yes. Marriage preparation classes are part of our

requirements for marriage at McKillop.

It is a Friday night and part of Saturday workshop with all the

couples getting married at McKillop.

                   We require marriage preparation classes, because we want to do

                  everything we can to help you have a long and successful marriage.

Your success and happiness are important to us.

Are you open to creative ceremonies?


We are very open to creative and thoughtful

worship ceremonies and are well known for our care and support.

We will help you create a one-of-a-kind of ceremony that will be remembered.

Can we have an outdoor ceremony?

Yes! We are flexible and able to meet you where you would like to be!

How many people can fit in your church?

We can accommodate groups from 5 to 600 in the

sanctuary and 5 to 60 in the Lane Lounge.


1. Wedding at the Church in the Sanctuary
- $475.00 (Includes Minister, Wedding Hostess, Pianist, & Sound Technician)

2. Informal Wedding in the Lane Lounge
- $300.00

3. Off-Site Ceremony
- $300.00 (plus mileage & accommodation if needed by the Minister)
