McKillop Fall 2021 Update

At the end of August our Church Council Executive released the following statement:

"We were hopeful to be able to return to in-person worship this fall. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 situation in Alberta and rising case numbers have once again made our return date uncertain. This week Executive Council decided to postpone returning to in-person worship until further notice. We are hopeful that we can safely ride out this fourth wave in the next couple of months and begin a transition back to in-person worship but time will tell. We will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves. We are continuing to allow groups to meet at the church while utilizing COVID preventative measures such as masking and physical distancing. While these protocols are no longer legally required in Alberta, there is much evidence towards their effectiveness in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and we will be continuing to require these measures while at McKillop. We are all missing our in-person community and are looking forward to ‘being back’ but our number one goal remains the safety of our congregation. Throughout the whole pandemic, we have found ways to be in community safely and will continue to make opportunities for meaningful connections in small groups and worship online. We hope this is the last stretch of this pandemic marathon and continue to look forward with hope."
