 ~ All are Welcome ~

Come to be inspired spiritually! McKillop is part of the United Church of Canada, a liberal denomination that only exists in Canada.

The United Church has a statement of common faith AND is open to diverse views of who God is and how God is active in our lives.

We believe in an individual's right to name, shape, and express their faith in many ways.
McKillop uses inclusive language and is welcome and open to lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans, two-spirited, queer and allies.

We have a strong passion for community engagement, social justice, the environment, and working for peace with justice.

We believe in the importance of both worshipping as a community and finding what feeds us spiritually as individuals.

At McKillop, we seek to live by our core values and mission. We will not take unnecessary risks when it comes to the health and welfare of our community. However, we are equally grounded in the practice of nurturing and caring for people.

All in-person worship services will be cancelled until further notice. We will continue to connect as a community exclusively through LIVE online worship at 10:30 A.M. on Sundays.

We are choosing to be proactive in our response to mitigate risk as we face this global pandemic. The welfare of our community members is at the heart of our concern.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the live service at 10:30 A.M. hosted through our Facebook Page and/or YouTube Channel:

YouTube Channel Live Stream

(*Live video stream will not show up until 10:29am on YouTube*)

You are welcome to comment live during the service and stay connected. The service will be recorded and shared later, so don’t worry if you can’t tune in live!

Spiritual Practice for Tough Times

Effective immediately, all in-person small group ministry gatherings and activities will be cancelled. There will be alternative opportunities for engagement, connection, and community provided in the interim via online technologies. One way you can connect right away is by connecting to our Facebook Channel

We are continuing to explore other creative solutions for prayer, connection, and care. Just know, we are doing our best to keep connected while caring for one another in whatever ways possible.

We want to remain in contact with those who may be vulnerable or quarantined to ensure that they have their spiritual, social, and physical needs attended to.  While it may not be possible to visit in person, we will stay in contact.

Please call the church at 403-328-2703 to stay connected.

Watch for more information, ways to connect, and ways we will and can help each other in the days ahead.

May we be reminded that we are not alone in the times ahead.

Peace to you,

Trevor Potter (Minister) and Jannelle Villeneuve (Chairperson of Church Council)

Affirming Ministry

We believe God has made us, and gifted us, an incredibly diverse people, diverse in gender, gender identity, race, age, physical and mental ability, class, faith, and sexual orientation. Jesus knew no boundaries, reaching out to all people, welcoming and honoring all in their uniqueness.

We believe therefore we are called to be a circle of ministry that welcomes and includes all, honours the gifts of each, recognized the need of all for forgiveness and grace, and nourishes all in the faith walk to which we are called. Learn More

Discovery Circles

One of the many blessings of McKillop United Church is its large size;  this enables us to do a lot in the community and in the congregation and generate the irresistible energy that runs throughout this community.

With two services and a large congregation, one of the challenges is how to feel that we belong.  How can we live our values of welcoming, nurturing, affirming, diversity, social justice, and spirituality?

DISCOVERY circles are designed to ignite connection in the context of small groups - everybody is invited to join a circle or DISCOVERY one of their own. Learn More
