At McKillop United, music is an exciting and vital part of our worship. We’re fortunate to have a congregation that likes to sing, but we also have four dedicated musical groups that provide leadership in worship.

Senior Choir helps lead worship at the 10 a.m. (traditional) worship service September through June, usually offering an introit, leading hymns both old and new, and presenting a choral anthem that relates to the theme of the service. Our choir director is Ken Rogers, our organist and pianist is Marilyn Sinclair, and weekly rehearsals are Thursdays from 8 to 9:30 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Catch the Spirit offers a wide mix of contemporary worship music at our 11:30 a.m. service. Darrell Croft directs a flexible group of singers and instrumentalists, who take part as they’re available, on a scheduled roster. Weekly rehearsals are regularly held Sundays at 10 a.m. in the CTS studio “at the base of the mountain” at McKillop. Call director Darrell Croft, 403-223-4817 for more information.
Joyful Noise is our children’s choir, which takes part in several services through the year. It’s led by Sheila Lenaour and Jill McNally. Singers meet and rehearse as needed.
McKillop Handbells, an all-ages group of men and women, presents dynamic music at our 10 a.m. service a number of times each year, both as an instrumental offering and as an accompaniment to anthems. Our handbell choir directed by Deb Logan, also takes its ministry of music to groups outside the church as invited. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m.
